Cabin fever has been setting in but this week was warm (for January in MN) so we took advantage and got out of the house on several occasions. Went to Midtown Global Market, met friends for a playdate, and in the photo above Oliver is at the newly remodeled Highland Park Library.

Josie 15 months
This has been another fun month with Josie. She celebrated her 2nd Christmas, got her first haircut, and has been working on many skills including eating with utensils and learning to talk. At her 15-month Dr's appointment she weighed 22 lb 2 oz (63%) and was 30.7" tall (56%). She's still an early riser which means we're tired, but Chris and I have been taking turns getting up and it's nice to have some one-on-one time with her. She's generally easy going although she won't hesitate to let you know if she's unhappy about something. She loves books, puzzles, and dancing to music. We love her so.

Jo says (15 months)
Josie has been learning how to say and sign new words almost every day. It's so cute to hear her little voice, not to mention helpful to know what she wants. Such a fun stage!

January always means cold temps in Minnesota (often with sub-zero highs) and thus lots of indoor play, and this year was no different. We have been playing with legos and puppets, and there are always lots of dance parties.

As we went from one to two kids, our daily photo posting dropped off. This year I'm going to try and post a photo of each of them once a week. We'll see how it goes.

Oli says
"That chocolate Santa was a very nice and lovely treat."
"Look at that extremely tall building!" (pointing to downtown Minneapolis)
"I want to brush my teeth because they still have crunches and munches left in them."
"I have chocolate eyes. Dad, want to eat my eyes? It's dessert!"
Talking about his dream where his friend was having a birthday. I asked what kind of cake she had and he said, "chocolate, peanut butter, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, chocolate-berry, gooseberry and wild berry"
"Hi Dad. I love your mustache and beard."
And more "Oli says" from almost a year ago.
