7 months pregnant on our anniversary in Madison |
First trimester: Really, really tired! Low-level nausea and things smelled and tasted weird. I started showing much earlier than I did with Oliver but could hide it through most of the 1st trimester. Slept well.
Second trimester: I felt relatively good! The extreme exhaustion was gone. Baby bump was now noticeable but not too big. Felt movement a lot earlier than I did with Oliver. Getting up 1-2 times at night. Still exercising a few times a week, but modifying a lot of the movements.
Third trimester: Exhaustion is back but not quite as bad as during first trimester. Toward the end it's been hard to keep up with Oli, but I'm doing my best. I wish I could be more active with him, but Chris has stepped in and done a lot of physical play with him which is great. When I was pregnant with Oli I had heartburn, sore feet, and leg cramps during the end of the pregnancy but I haven't had any of these things too bad this time around (yet!). Feeling lots of movement. Baby's arms or legs will jut out from time to time which is cool but strange and a little uncomfortable. Still getting up 1-2 times at night, but sleeping pretty well. Whale status achieved.
I have to say that being pregnant has to be some of the most exciting waiting one will ever do. I have so many questions! What will labor be like this time? Is it a boy or girl? What color will his/her eyes and hair be? Will s/he look like Oli or like Chris or I? What will her/his temperament be like? How will Oliver react to having a new baby around? How will we all adjust to being a family of 4? Only another month or so of waiting and in the meantime we're enjoying being a family of 3 for a little longer.
I love this so much. Also, every one of your outfits is adorable. And I don't know how you do it, Mel, but the award for cutest pregnant woman goes to you once again! Thanks for sharing.
