Our last few days in Scotland were busy. I spent a lot of time finishing up my class and saying goodbye to the students. There was a zip line at the playground on the estate and we took all the students there on our last day of class. Chris and Oli came out to meet us and Chris and I went zip lining together!

We were also fortunate enough to get free tickets to see another Olympic football match in Glasgow. It was the women's quarter final - France v. Sweden. Oli did really well and seemed to enjoy the game. He even clapped! France won, confirming our suspicion from the previous match, that he's a fan of the French team.

After the Olympic match we went to Mono again and had another wonderful meal. It was one of our favorite restaurants in Scotland!

We had cream tea at Larder in Edinburgh one last time which was delicious. This was the only place Oli would eat scones. They were our favorite too! Our last day we went into Dalkeith and happened upon a parade, which we watched as we ate lunch. We spent the evening with some friends having dinner at Roseleaf Cafe in Edinburgh and ice cream in Portobello. We tried cullen skink at Roseleaf and the chocolate waffer dessert at the ice cream shop. Delicious all around!

We had a wonderful time in Scotland! It's a beautiful country with friendly people, delightful food, and amazing historic sights (just to name a few). I hope I get an opportunity to come back and visit (or teach here) again!
