We flew from Edinburgh to Amsterdam on Sunday. We had a layover in Paris and ended up having to run through the airport to catch our flight. Our disdain for the Charles de Gaulle airport has been growing. It's a confusing maze full of a zillion security check points and shops that all seem to be selling perfume. Luckily we made our connection and arrived in Amsterdam in early evening. We took a train and then a tram to the apartment we are renting. They were a little confusing, but we managed to make our way without much trouble. The apartment we are staying at is just outside the city center and very close to Vondelpark. Very cute apartment and a great location!
