Olympics in Newcastle

On Sunday afternoon we took the train from Alnwick to Newcastle to go to another Olympic football match. Once we arrived, we stopped to eat with a few of my students. They had an early dinner and Chris and I had coffee and blueberry cake. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside. Oliver took a little nap and then we headed to the stadium. Our tickets were for two men's matches - Japan vs. Morocco and Spain vs. Honduras. Oliver was a little overwhelmed, but did better and even sat with us and watched the second half of the first game. Oliver and I left after the first game and Chris stayed to see the second game. It was a fun experience to be in a big stadium with lots of excited fans!
